Buffalo River Rowing Club (BRRC)

This is an adult team for all levels of rowing. We accept adults 21 years old and up from beginner to experienced. Our team is a mix of competitive and recreational rowers. Buffalo River Rowing Club Masters is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and is an associate organization member under the Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association (BSRA) umbrella.

Returning BRRC Members:

  • Step 1: Pay Dues - Goes to host organization

    • Select your level of participation (Full Year or On the Water only)​

    • Complete registration form and either pay in full or select the payment plan

    • ***If you are under the age of 30, please email info@rowbuffalo.com to learn more about our 25% off discount program***

    • ***If you plan to use Independent Health insurance benefits to contribute to dues email Mairead (mairead@rowbuffalo.com) before registering and she will set you up with a split payment***

  • Step 2: Pay Team Fee - Goes to BRRC

    • Goes towards  paying coaches, insurance and basic equipment repairs

- 2024 Information -

BRRC is an inclusive and large rowing community of adults ages 21 years old and up, our rowers fall under competitive, recreational, intermediate and novices. We continue to accept new and returning rowers throughout the year. If you have been rowing for less than a year,you are a NOVICE rower. If you have rowed for more than  a year, you are considered a MASTERS rower.

Practice times:

On the Water: mid March - End of October (when docks are in)

  • Monday, Wednesday & Thursdays 5:50-8pm and Sundays 7:30-9:30a

    • Practice times may be slightly adjusted by coaches due to season, temperature, daylight, weather, events, etc.​

  • Tuesday (Summer and Fall) 5:50-8p for Novices/Beginners only

  • Some practices will be indoors and rowers who join during this time should expect to learn/practice the rowing stroke on the erg with the team​

Indoor Training: Early November - mid March (when docks are out)

  • Session 1: January 1st - mid March

    • Coached practices - Monday & Thursday 6-7:30p, Tuesday 6:15-7:15a and Sunday 8:30-10a​

    • Wednesday - Extra workouts sent out

  • Session 2: November & December ***Add-on and not included in the 2024 BRRC Team fee***

    • Tentative coached practices - Monday & Thursday 6-7:30p, Tuesday 6:15-7:15p and Sunday 8:30-10a​

2024 Dues

Full Year - $1,242

  • Enrollment closed

On the Water - $1,067

  • Enrollment open until 7/31/24

  • REOPENED UNTIL 11/30/24

June LTR Grad's - $560

  • Enrollment open until 8/1/24

  • 3 month payment plan available

    • $190/month

Step 2: BRRC Team Fee

This fee must be paid prior to attending practice. Once this is paid, you will be added to (or remain on)  the Heja Roster. 

2024 BRRC Team Fee - $300

Payment Options:

Payments accepted via Venmo @brrcmasters, PayPal brrcmasters@gmail.com or by emailing Diane to process an Independent Health (Healthy Extras) payment

BSRA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We welcome youth and adults of all abilities from all over WNY to row and kayak on the Buffalo River from 405 Ohio Street. BSRA is an umbrella organization to several association organizations including: BRRC Masters, Canisius High School, Buffalo Seminary, WeCanRow-Buffalo and BSRA Youth.
