Head of the Buffalo Regatta

Head_of_the_Buffalo_4c_Logo_large(1).png

HOBR is hosted by Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association each year in October. This inclusive regatta features events for high school youth, adults, adaptive and cancer survivor teams. Teams from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Erie and Pittsburgh compete on the almost 3 mile course on the Buffalo River. Spectators can watch the race all along the river from Red Jacket Park down to RiverFest park/RiverWorks. We encourage spectators to enjoy local businesses for food and beverage such as Buffalo RiverWorks, Tewskbury, Resurgence, Hartman's, Buffalo Bar & Grill, Gene McCarthy's, Undergrounds, Wonder Coffee House and more.

HOBR 2023 has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict with a construction project. Our site will not be a state conducive to hosting a full scale regatta. We look forward to a great 2024 HOBR, with our new and improved site!
