Kayak Storage

Need a place to keep your kayak that is not your garage? The BSRA has converted two of our storage containers into a year-round kayak storage facility. 

 

Our site at 405 Ohio Street is the perfect place to store, and launch your kayak! 

Cost:

  • 2025 Single kayak- $425/year

  • 2025 Tandem kayak- $540/year

Storage

The BSRA has converted 2 of our motorboat containers into a usable kayak storage facility. Some features of the unit are as follows:

  • Stored inside a 8'x40' storage container

  • Pine racks made for easy access to kayaks 

  • Plenty of walking room to get your boat in and out

  • Can accommodate a max of 12 kayaks

  • Kayak trolly available for use 

  • Locked 24/7 - access only given to kayak users

Launching

  • Per NYS Law  Section 40.1(d), paddlers are required to wear a life jacket from November 1 - May 1

  • Paddlers have access to the BSRA dock, and surrounding shore to launch and recover 

  • Do not loiter on or around the dock

  • Rowing programs have priority usage of the dock

  • Do not throw anything off the dock

  • No alcohol or substance on the dock

  • The BSRA dock is closed from sunset to sunrise

Additional Perks

  • Access to boathouse bathrooms when the boathouse is open

  • Access to parking in the BSRA parking lot

Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association

BSRA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We welcome youth and adults of all abilities from all over WNY to row and kayak on the Buffalo River from 405 Ohio Street. BSRA is an umbrella organization to several association organizations including:  Canisius High School, Buffalo Seminary, WeCanRow-Buffalo and BSRA Youth.
