The Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association (BSRA) Masters program is a friendly and welcoming mix of new and experienced adult rowers, ages 21-99!
Our season begins with erging on the rowing machines in January. We practice for one hour on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at either 6:30 or 7:30 PM, depending on the rower’s schedule. Practices are not mandatory (we are all busy adults!) but most Masters attend practice as often as their schedule permits.
When the ice melts, we practice Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6PM, and Sunday morning at 7AM on the Buffalo River, home to the historic grain elevators. Some team members race in the summer and fall at regional regattas including the Genesee Sprints, Royal Canadian Henley, Head of the Buffalo (at BSRA!), Head of the Niagara (in Buffalo!), and the Head of the Fish (Saratoga, NY). All team members appreciate our in-house scrimmages- a great way to learn about and enjoy racing!
Let’s get started! Please register and complete the liability waiver.
2018 Masters dues and fees: $550
The Waiver must be completed before Winter Training at the Old First Ward Community Center.
